HIU History

Highstone International University (HIU) is a globally recognized higher education service provider and an accredited transnational university. In accordance with Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948, regarding the right to education, and Article 28 on the establishment of new methods and institutions for exercising this right, as well as Articles 13 and 14 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, which was adopted on December 16, 1966, regarding the right to education, and Articles 10 and 11 of the Convention on the Prevention of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, which was adopted on December 18, 1979, regarding the right to education, HIU, under license ID #C4847550, holds a Public Charity Status under the US Federal Government, and operates blended learning educational system.

HIU primarily believes that education is a fundamental right for all people on this world. Our institution offers educational opportunities and technologies to persons who want to acquire a higher quality education while also pursuing a career, as well as to people with impairments and disadvantaged groups. HIU implements an education model that is time and place independent, information technology-based, and meets the needs of the time. Our university is a known and reputable higher education institution on a global scale, having been accredited by international bodies.

HIU is officially registered to deliver higher education services in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in many countries. Our university has the following quality certifications:

Our university has been accredited by seven independent international organizations, is affiliated with several impartial universal bodies, and has quality-assurance certificates. It is a multinationally accredited higher education institution and a global provider of higher education services in tertiary education-vocational training, evaluation-selection, and certification services.

Incorporating the “Academic Performance Management System” and “Management Reporting and Analysis Platform”, our university also provides Blended Learning Management Platform ("Student Information System Automation", "Learning Management System Automation", "Electronic Document Management System Automation" and "Registered Electronic Mail" systems).

Consequently, Highstone International University is unique as a full ON-Campus and distance learning blended learning institution, set apart by its numerous high-quality certificates, trademark registrations, integrated information automation, and easily navigable digital applications.

Our institution has started its instructional activities with 25 departments spread over five faculties: engineering, health sciences, management sciences, education, and law. It also has 15 master's and 11 doctoral programs through the Institute of Graduate Education. Furthermore, the Innovation, Research, and Project Center, Continuing Education Center, Career Development Center, Alumni Center, and Social Service Center provide students with research, certified short-term training, career support, job opportunities, and social responsibility activities.
