COURSE OVERVIEW - The B.S in Strategic Management prepares students to analyze, formulate, implement, and evaluate strategies in organizations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of strategic decision-making and leadership in various industries and sectors. This course provides an overview of the fundamentals of strategic management, including the strategic planning process, environmental analysis, and strategy formulation.
COURSE DESCRIPTION - The Bachelor's degree in Strategic Management is a program that focuses on the principles and practices of strategic planning and management. It equips students with the knowledge and skills to analyze internal and external factors that influence an organization's strategy. This includes conducting SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis, industry analysis, and competitive positioning. The program covers the process of formulating strategies, including setting strategic goals and objectives, exploring strategic alternatives, and developing strategic implementation plans. It also emphasizes the execution of strategies, including organizational design, leadership, and change management. Evaluation and monitoring of strategic initiatives are integral parts of the program. Students learn how to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and ensure their alignment with organizational goals. The course also covers concepts of innovation and change management in the strategic management process, including innovation strategies, technology disruption, and organizational change. Throughout the program, students gain an understanding of risk assessment techniques, risk management frameworks, and the implementation of security measures to mitigate risks. They also explore professional ethics, ethical decision-making frameworks, and the application of ethical principles in security and conflict management.
