COURSE OVERVIEW – The program emphasizes the principles and practices of conflict transformation and peacebuilding. Students will explore the crucial role of civil society in peacebuilding efforts, while also addressing the challenges and opportunities of post-conflict reconstruction. They will also learn how to analyze and evaluate risks, and implement effective security measures to mitigate those risks. By the end of the program, graduates will possess a comprehensive understanding of security threats, conflict dynamics, and strategies for effective management as well as be equipped with the necessary skills to navigate complex security challenges, resolve conflicts, and contribute to peacebuilding efforts in diverse contexts.
COURSE DESCRIPTION – The Bachelor in Security and Conflict Management program is specifically designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and effectively manage various forms of security threats and conflicts across different contexts. This comprehensive program provides students with an overview of the fundamental concepts and principles of security studies. Throughout the program, students will delve into different types of security threats, explore various security paradigms, strategies, and approaches to security management. They will develop a deep understanding of conflicts, learning about conflict resolution and management techniques, negotiation and mediation strategies, as well as peacebuilding efforts.
In addition to this, students will gain insights into the concepts and theories of international relations, understanding the role of international organizations in maintaining security and the intricate interaction between states and non-state actors within the international system.
