DURATION – 48months

COURSE OVERVIEW – The curriculum in Computer Science offers opportunities for problem solving in many areas and provides experience with a variety of computer languages and software packages. Students cultivate the skills to design, develop and test computer programs and systems as well as learn to apply mathematical methodologies to solve computational tasks. The curriculum provides a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge as well as experience with practical application in hardware and software.

COURSE DESCRIPTION – The BS program in Computer Science focuses on the design of computers, computational processes for problem-solving and information transfer and transformation with an emphasis on improving software and system quality, security, performance and usability. Students design, analyze and improve the quality of computer software and systems. They learn to apply the basic concepts and theories behind computer science to real-world situations through a combination of traditional computer science and mathematics courses and major, team-based software development projects.
